Windows Registry Tweaks

Restrict Screen Savers - Windows 2K/XP

Used to stop screen savers from running. Also, the Screen Saver settings page is disabled, so users cannot change the screen saver options.

Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value, called "ScreenSaveActive" and set it according to the value data below.

Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop]
Value Name: ScreenSaveActive
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (0 = disable screen savers, 1 = default)
